The Leadership Team is made up of the pastor of the church and other members of the church. They meet together regularly to pray together about the church and make sure that it is running as smoothly as possible.
The team is currently made up of:
Steve Millard, the Pastor
Pastor Steve arrived at LSR with in 2021 having served 2 previous churches as a pastor and worked in overseas missions for 10 years as well.
Steve is married to Heather, and they have 2 daughters and 3 grandchildren.
His passion is for people to learn and grow in their love for Jesus, no matter how short or long a time they have been a Christian.
Steve is always happy to talk with anyone about their faith questions and loves to walk alongside people as they explore what Jesus means to them.
Outside of church life, Steve enjoys good coffee, walking the dog and spending time with the growing family.
Jayne Parkes (responsible for safeguarding)
Jayne has been married to David for well over forty years. They have two grown up children and five grandchildren.
Jayne enjoys spending time with the family, escaping in their motor home to remote places, walking, reading and doing puzzles.
Prior to retirement she was a specialist teacher of primary age children with special educational needs and disabilities.
She has a passion to see children come to know the Lord, leads the Sunday School group and is the Designated Person for Safeguarding.
Adam Tucker
Adam was, until recently, a primary school teacher, often specialising in teaching music. He is now a private tutor.
He is married with two grown up boys, and he enjoys gardening. In addition to his tutoring, he is a fine artist as well as a music composer (see his work at adamtucker.art)
At church he is involved in leading worship from the piano, leading our youth group, PUSH, and also in preaching.
Dave Lowis
David currently works at Freshwave designing, configuring and installing WiFi networks around the UK.
He has been married to Anthea for almost 30 years, and has 3 grown-up children and a labradoodle dog.
He is a coffee connoisseur and loves a good tasting dark roast cup!
He has a passion for seeing children learn and apply God's word, with the goal of them putting their faith in Jesus.
He also enjoys leading the Ignite group (11-16 youth activities and spiritual discussion once a month.)
At church he is involved with running the sound desk, Sunday School, and Ignite.
